Some Similes for Sending Out Job Applications
Like flinging a handful of tiny rocks into a lake and watching them all sink to the muddy bottom.
Like throwing a paper airplane into the wind and having it blow back into your face and give you a paper cut on your eyeball.
So in these scenarios, job applications are represented by the tiny rocks and paper airplane, the job market is the lake and the wind, and I am the bloody eyeball.
